US Embassy Kazakhstan Addresses
The US Embassy Kazakhstan resided in Almaty since it was first
established in 1992. Almaty was the capital of Kazakhstan then. Since
the capital moved to Astana (in 1997), the US Embassy moved there as
well in 2006.
As Almaty remained the major city, financial and cultural center of the
country, the United States is still represented by the Consulate General
there.
